The world was responding to Bubba’s emotions, Jim explained, but Bubba paid no mind. He recognized the necklace. The necklace belonged to Boboh, Bubba’s older sister. She left him 15 years ago without a word, leaving him alone ever since. The necklace in the necklace began to glisten and shine. A window appeared, and an oddly familiar face peered through.
“Bubba! Hey, Bubba is that you?”
“Yes. Hello?”
“Hey! Boboh needs your help!
“What? Who are you?”
“I’m Boba, a manifestation of Boboh’s love for you. She’s in a fight for her life and she might not make it if you’re not there!”
“Oh.”
“Please, come with me. Don’t you miss Boboh? Won’t you come?”
Jim grinned. The emotions Bubba left in the recesses of his mind broke through and drowned him in a vat of pitched black hopelessness. It was tasteless. Bubba lost command of his body.
Boba took Bubba’s hand, and both were instantly vacuumed through the window.
